Willow Park Emergency Alerts for upcoming fierce winter weather.
Now is a good time to register for local emergency alerts - Willow Park's CivicReady Alert Sense and Parker County's Hyper-reach.
The National Weather Service (NWS) wrote on Dec. 18 that a “major storm system is forecast to impact much of the Nation leading up to Christmas Eve, with widespread gusty winds, areas of heavy rain and heavy snow, as well as bitter cold in its wake.”
While NOAA's Weather Prediction Center does not include dangerous winter precipitation, our local NOAA National Weather Service forecast at Fort Worth, Meacham International Airport KFTW and Zone Area Mineral Wells, Mineral Wells Airport KMWL warns Willow Park needs to be prepared for single-digit temperatures, made worst by our usual Texas winter winter.
