Willow Park will have a May 2023 election ballot -- with a decision that will effect your property taxes.
Although Willow Park registered voters will not be voting on city elected officials -- because no one ran again the incumbents* -- Willow Park registered voters will have a ballot with an important decision to make. Aledo ISD has placed a new $123.8M bond proposal on the 06 May 2023 ballot for those registered voters in the Aledo ISD district, which includes Willow Park.

This bond proposal is necessary to address the significant growth the Aledo ISD but also increases you property taxes. Got that? INCREASES YOUR PROPERTY TAXES.
Aledo ISD has been working for over a year to study and to prepare for this bond proposal. They established an Aledo Growth Committee of citizens, business leaders, and ISD staff, who have been preparing options and communications.
And now, Aledo ISD is preparing citizen voters to make an educated vote during the 06 May 2023 election.

Special Election: Aledo ISD – Bond Vote For or Against
Proposition A: The issuance of $123,800,000 of bonds by the Aledo Independent School District for the construction, renovation, acquisition and equipment of school facilities in the District (including, but not limited to, improvements to enhance safety and security), including the acquisition of land therefor and the acquisition of new school buses, and levying the tax in payment thereof. This is a property tax increase.
