3.02 acres in ETJ of Fort Worth

Currently referred to as the Brothers in Christ project, the land was in the Aledo and the Fort Worth Extra-territorial jurisdictions (ETJ) [#1, #2], but neither city could offer city utilities at that location, so the owners turned to Willow Park.

Bryson Adams, listed as co-owner, who attended the 11 June 2024 Council Meeting [#2], told WPC there were no firm plans for the land usage, but there were possibilities of a commercial gas station / convenience store, "like QT" on FM 1187, and residential houses "behind" the commercial business.

228.24 acres in Aledo ETJ

The annexation process includes the following:

• Petition the City of Aledo and the City of Fort Worth to exit their ETJs.

• Petition to be annexed into the City of Willow Park, including Public Hearings and approval by the City.

• All annexed property comes into city limits as Residential Zone 1, so the owners will apply to re-zone for commercial zone and residential zone.

• Petition for re-zoning will come before the Planning and Zoning Commission with Pubic Hearings and P&Z approval.

• P&Z approved, re-zoning petition will come before the City Council with Pubic Hearings and Council approval.
