Working for Main Street America

Dear Texans,

I am proud to serve as the Vice Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee and fight for our Nation's job creators. I continue to be an advocate for pro-growth policies, lower taxes, less burdensome regulations, and expanding opportunities for businesses. Unfortunately, under the Biden Administration we have seen small businesses under a regulatory attack and dealing with economic headwinds from inflation, supply chain issues, and labor shortages.

I have had the pleasure of meeting with small businesses across TX-25 and hear firsthand the challenges they are facing in the Biden economy. With President Biden in office, businesses are operating in fear of the next costly new regulation that will come down the pipeline. The Biden Administration has added $300+ billion in regulatory costs and 193 million hours in new paperwork, according to federal data collected by the American Action Forum. This is a stark contrast from the Trump Administration where regulations were repealed by a two to one margin. This unleashed investment from our nation's job creators and strengthened our economy since they could operate without fear of any unexpected new costs.

I continue to fight back against the Democrats' radical policies that restricts Main Street America and halt any economic progress. We should be looking for ways to make it easier for businesses to operate and compete, not inundate them with burdensome new paperwork. I look forward to my continued work on the House Small Business Committee and serving our great small business across TX-25 and the country.
