Dear Texans,
Small businesses are hurting under the Biden Administration. From runaway inflation, billions in new regulatory costs, and a broken supply chain, Main Street America is feeling the pinch of Democrats' reckless policymaking. I joined Fox Business' Mornings with Maria to address the economic factors hurting small businesses and my goals as Chairman of the House Small Business to better support our Nation's job creators. Strengthening American Energy Independence
This week, House Republicans voted to prevent any further abuse of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) by the Biden Administration by passing the Strategic Production Response Act. For far too long, President Biden has risked America’s national security and as a result has drained our Strategic Petroleum Reserve to historic lows. This legislation will increase the lands available for oil and gas production and limit the Administration's authority to release oil from the SPR in the future.
Texas Republicans Demanding Action on Border Crisis
Texas Republicans were untied this week in sending a letter to President Biden demanding he reimburses Texas for the costs the state has been forced to spend on border security. We additionally requested a formal meeting to discuss the border crisis and solutions on how to secure the border and safeguard our communities. You can read the full letter below.
