Dear Texans,
As your Representative in Congress, I will always stand for TX-25 values. In D.C. I am fighting day in and day out to protect our God-given rights and put America first. Read below for an update on my work serving you.
Financial Services Committee Passes Resolution Disapproving of CFPB’s 1071 Rule
The CFPB’s rulemaking is a continued attack on Main Street America. Small business owners are already facing increased borrowing costs and crushing inflation as the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates to a 22-year high. The 1071 rule will only make it harder for existing business owners and entrepreneurs to access the capital they need. I thank the Republican members of the Financial Services Committee for supporting this resolution and look forward to its consideration on the House floor soon. Read my full release here.
Sent a Letter to the Federal Reserve Pushing Back on New Capital Requirements
Subcommittee Chairman Dan Meuser and I sent a letter to the Federal Reserve to consider the impact their capital requirements proposal will have on small businesses and their and their ability to access affordable and reliable credit across the country. Read my full release here.
Small Business Committee Hearing on the Challenges and State of Rural Small Businesses
Rural small businesses are the backbones of their communities, and without them, our nation cannot succeed. Unfortunately, in Biden’s America, we’ve seen these businesses suffer the effects of high taxes, stubborn inflation, and a burdensome regulatory regime. Our nation’s small businesses are resilient, but we must continue doing everything we can to make life easier for Main Street. Watch below.
