Dear Texans,

As your Representative in Congress, I will always stand for TX-25 values. In D.C. I am fighting day in and day out to protect our God-given rights and put America first. Read below for an update on my work serving you and follow me on Twitter and Facebook for real time updates.

House Passes Legislation to Stand With Israel

Since day one, my platform has been to stand with Israel. I am proud to announce that House Republicans passed my cosponsored legislation H. Con. Res. 57 by a vote of 412-9. This bill rejects all forms of antisemitism and ensures that the United States will always be a staunch partner and supporter of Israel, one of our closest friends and allies.

Introduced the Student Debt Alternative and CTE Awareness Act

I introduced the bipartisan Student Debt Alternative and CTE Awareness Act alongside Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez to increase participation in the technical fields through improved awareness of alternatives to traditional higher education opportunities. Costly 4-year degrees create burdensome financial obligations and decades of debt, whereas CTE programs significantly reduce education times and cost. Read my press release here.

Financial Services Committee Hearings

I had two Financial Services Committee hearings. In the first hearing, I discussed how federal banking regulators are incorporating partisan climate policies into banking regulations under the facade of safety and soundness. The Biden Administration’s climate policies and outside pressures channel credit away from certain energy sectors, like oil and gas, and move it towards more “green sectors” that are a threat to Main Street. Watch here.

The second hearing highlighted issues with FinCEN’s Beneficial Ownership Rulemaking and unintended consequences that may arise if FinCEN does not properly educate small businesses on the reporting rule. I also discussed Chinese involvement in the fentanyl trade, and how effective BOI rulemaking can help with stopping money laundering. Watch here.

Presented With CPAC's Conservative Achievement Award

From defending our God-given rights to making sure our nation is secure and American families and businesses have the resources they need to thrive, I will always be a warrior for conservative values. Thank you to CPAC and Matt Schlapp for presenting me with the Conservative Achievement Award.

Accepted the 2023 Congressional Baseball Game Trophy

I was honored to officially accept the 2023 Congressional Baseball Game trophy on the House floor this week. This year’s game raised $1.8 million for charity and brought 27,000 people together to watch America’s pastime, honor our law enforcement, and celebrate a GOP victory. Watch my speech here.

In Case You Missed It!

Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas are not only ignoring the invasion of our southern border but are intentionally making it worse! I joined Newsmax to discuss their monumental failures and what we must do to secure our border. Watch here.

In God we trust,

Roger Williams

Member of Congress

The US House Representative for Texas District 25, which includes Willow Park.
