Dear Texans,
As your Representative in Congress, I am committed to upholding your values and fighting for the issues that matter most to you. Last week, I spent time in TX-25 meeting with local businesses and community members to catch up and discuss ways I can help. To stay connected with real time updates, be sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter.
Signed Amicus Brief on Texas Border Buoy Lawsuit
Biden’s open border policies have made every state a border state and forced Texans to take national security into their own hands. In July 2023, Texas placed a series of buoys in the Rio Grande River to encourage migrants to cross the border at points of entry rather than crossing the river illegally. The United States Department of Justice responded with a lawsuit, alleging that those buoys were un-permitted obstructions to navigable waters in violation of the Rivers and Harbors Act and must be removed. I am proud to have signed an amicus brief highlighting that Biden’s Department of Justice does not have the standing to sue Texas on this matter. Read my full release here.
2023 North Texas Job Fair
I was proud to host the 2023 North Texas Job Fair with Representative VanDuyne. We had 15,000 people and over 375 businesses attend, giving job seekers the opportunity to network with employers and participate in professional workshops. It was great to meet with members of the community, elected officials, and give 2,000 free school supply packs to students.
Stephenville Business and Bankers Roundtable
In Stephenville, I joined local businesses at the Stephenville Business and Bankers Roundtable to discuss the various struggles and successes they are experiencing under the current administration and ways I can help. In Congress, I am fighting each day to fix our supply chain and bring affordability back to Main Street.
Met With the Burleson Mid-Day Rotary Club
I spoke with with members of the Burleson Mid-Day Rotary Club to provide them with an update from D.C. and discuss my work to put an end to Biden’s deadly open border policy and secure our nation. My legislation to restore Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy, and the Secure the Border Act, passed in the House, will restore law and order, uphold the integrity of our immigration system, and safeguard American lives.
Presented a Flag to Texas Health Huguley
Nurses and Doctors were the front line during one of the worlds darkest times. I was honored to meet with the Texas Health Huguley leadership team and present a flag to hospital staff to thank them for their hard work throughout the pandemic. It is important that we acknowledge the sacrifices made, the challenges faced, and the unwavering commitment shown by these individuals who have worked tirelessly to keep our community healthy.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
Member of Congress
The US House Representative for Texas District 25, which includes Willow Park.
