Dear Texans,

This week the House was in recess, but my work in D.C. and at home in TX-25 did not stop. Read more about my week working for the people of Texas’ 25th District below.

Biden Misses Mark at Border Again

For over two years, the American people have watched helplessly as Joe Biden and his 'Border Czar,’ Kamala Harris, ignore the growing crisis at our southern border. As the COVID-19 emergency declarations come to a rightful end, Title 42, a public health order that allowed for immigrants to be sent back to their country of origin, is now set to expire next week. Instead of reimplementing policies that work, Biden is pouring United States resources into "regional processing hubs.” The Administration touts that these “screening centers” will serve 6,000 migrants per month, but with an expected 13,000 encounters per day, this costly “solution” is hardly a drop in the bucket. This week Biden also announced that he will be stationing 1,500 troops along the southern border for 90 days beginning May 10th. This action is not enough. Read my statement below. 2023 Congressional Art Competition Winners

Each year, students across the nation have the opportunity to showcase their talents in the Congressional Art Competition. I am proud to announce the TX-25 winners. 1st place - "Soldier Far From Home", 2nd place - "Conversations Over Coffee", 3rd place - "Daddy’s Hands". See the winning submissions below! TX-6 Chamber Roundtable

As chairman of the House Committee on Small Business I have the opportunity to hear from businesses outside of my district. While in Texas this week, I joined Rep. Jake Ellzey at the TX-6 Chamber Roundtable to discuss how the committee is addressing issues impacting small businesses across the country. Broken supply chains and crippling inflation have business owners struggling to stay afloat. The American people want their livelihoods back.

24th Annual Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

I visited Cleburne to kick off the 24th Annual Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. It's always great to spend time outdoors and catch up with community members!

Joined Mornings With Maria

Small businesses are the backbone of America and banks are essential for growth, but banking issues are crippling Main Street. I kicked off National Small Business Week on Mornings With Maria to discuss ways government regulations are crushing small businesses and more. Watch the full clip here.

In God we trust,

Roger Williams

Member of Congress

The US House Representative for Texas District 25, which includes Willow Park.
