Texas offers three (3) sales tax holidays for different items during a calendar year. A sales tax holiday is an annual event during which the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts allows certain items to be purchased Texas sales-tax-free.

Texas offers three (3) sales tax holidays for different items during a calendar year. A sales tax holiday is an annual event during which the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts allows certain items to be purchased Texas sales-tax-free.
Remember, the Texas sales tax holidays are for Texas sales tax only. Willow Park has three (3) taxing entities that charge sales tax:

Texas imposes a 6.25 percent state sales and use tax on all retail sales, leases and rentals of most goods, as well as taxable services. Local taxing jurisdictions (cities, counties, special purpose districts and transit authorities) can also impose up to 2 percent sales and use tax for a maximum combined rate of 8.25 percent.
