Willow Park's Kings Gate Park has a new sign.


The City of Willow Park has added a new welcome sign to the City's Kings Gate Park. In addition, Director of Parks and Recreation Mandy McCarley offered photos and fun facts about the 4500 lbs. single stone. [1]


"To start our improvements at Kings Gate park, we’ve added a new sign that compliments the landscape and honors the park’s history as part of the horse racing track." according to the City's website." [2], the City announced yesterday.


In addition, Willow Park's Director of Parks and Recreation Mandy McCarley shared additional "fun facts" about the new Kings Gate Park Sign [3]:

• The stone weights 4500 lbs.

• and came from Utah.  

• Director McCarley is pictured with Davy Vestal, of Davy Vestal Memorial, Monuments and Stone Work. Director McCarley said, "I wanted to make sure we used a Willow Park business for this project."
