May 2022 City Election Cancelled

Summary: 07 May, 2022 Willow Park city elections were cancelled because Councilmembers Places 3, 4 and 5 were all uncontested.


The Willow Park city elections scheduled for 07 May, 2022 were cancelled during the 08 March 2022 city council meeting. Councilmembers Places 3, 4 and 5 were all uncontested for place on ballot for the 2022 city election.


All applications for a place on the May ballot were due by 18 February 2022. There were no applications to run against the incumbents, so the election was declared uncontested.


3. Discussion/Action: to adopt an Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Willow Park, Texas, Ordering The Cancellation Of The General Election Scheduled For May 7, 2022; Declaring The Unopposed Candidates For Councilmember For Place No. 3, A Councilmember For Place No. 4, And A Councilmember For Place No. 5; To Be Elected To Office.

BACKGROUND: Councilmembers Places 3, 4 and 5 were all uncontested for place on ballot for the 2022 General Election.
