 A "Roller Skating Rink" Special Use Permit has been requested by the Haney Complex Addition -- in addition to requesting a rezoning from Class Il: Residential 'R-1' Single-Family District" to "Class IV - Industrial: Commercial - 'LI' Light Industrial District


Remember, the Haney Complex Addition was just annexed into the City of Willow Park, and all, new annexations are automatically zoned as residential, even if the original purpose of land use is commercial. It's just the process; go figure.


In the 09 February, 2024 The Community News, the City has announced two Public Hearings, for the Tuesday, 27 February, 2024 City Council Meeting, to rezone the 31 aces of the Haney Complex Addition on the south side of Bankhead Highway and to issue a Special Use Permit for a "Roller Skating Rink."

• 1. PUBLIC HEARING to consider a Request for Zoning Change from "Class Il: Residential 'R-1' Single-Family District" to "Class IV - Industrial: Commercial - 'LI' Light Industrial District" for the Haney Complex Addition, Tracts 1-3, being approximately 31.247 acres in the Eliza Oxer Survey, Abstract Number 1031, City of Willow Park, Parker County, Texas.

• 2. PUBLIC HEARING to consider a Request for a Special Use Permit regarding the addition of a Roller Skating Rink as an allowable use for Lot 3, Block 3 in the Haney Complex Addition, which is concurrently requesting a Zoning Change from "Class Il: Residential 'R-1' Single-Family District" to "Class IV - Industrial: Commercial - 'LI' Light Industrial District" in the City of Willow Park, Parker County, Texas.
