The declaration means the counties included will have access to additional resources to "cope" with the disaster." And it means Parker County citizens need to be mindful of weather conditions, water usage, fire usage
On 08 July, 2022, the governor declaired a drought disaster proclamation; this drought declaration means Parker County will have the "use of all available resources of state government and of political subdivisions that are reasonably necessary to cope with this disaster."
Currently, of the six counties adjacent to Parker County, only Palo Pinto is included in the drought declaration.
