Update: Country Hollow submitted is final plat to the city. Now they are ready to get started.
Later this year, Red River Development will start work on ninety-eight (98) residential houses for sale, on smaller 5K square foot lots, in the new Country Hollow housing development, a companion development to two adjacent residential neighborhoods, Hunters Glen and Willow Park Village. Country Hollow will have a Home Owners Association (HOA) but current plans indicate there will not be any common amenities.

What started during the 18 January 2022 P&Z Commission Meeting as "170 tiny rental duplexes" with common back yards and community amenities had been changed to "101 lots, 98 of which will be residential. This parcel is being platted for subdivision, development, and intended sale."
During the January 2022 meeting, four people spoke; three were residents of a neighboring development and they presented a petition with seventy eight (78) signatures against the leasing development. After the public hearing and discussion, the developers withdrew their application.

The developers, Red River Development, listened. And are now starting Country Hollow as a companion neighborhood to two adjacent developments, Hunters Glen and Willow Park Village.
The project started its development journey during the 06 December 2022 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting.
Country Hollow will have ninety-eight (98) residential houses on smaller 5K sq. ft. lots, however the builders have not yet been selected.
The development will have a Home Owners Association (HOA) but current plans indicate there will not be any common amenities, except for the possibility of walking paths around the two drainage retention ponds on the south side of the development. There will be sidewalks with 2' to 3" street boxes -- green space between sidewalk and streets -- which is an important safety feature for communities with small lots and narrow streets.
Traffic will change dramatically for neighboring Hunters Glen, which is currently a no-outlet community. Whitetail Drive will now pass through both Hunters Glen and Country Hollow, which will invite Country Hollow traffic headed south, through the narrow, no-sidewalk, residential streets of Hunters Glenn to Bankhead Drive. And Hunters Glenn will now have a closer access to I20, through the same narrow Country Hollow residential streets. A previously-discussed gate to prohibit cross neighborhood traffic has been replaced with the recommendation of strict parking rules for both neighborhoods.
While there is no specific start date, Red River Development and partners plan to push forward quickly with a tentative start time of next summer [2023].
