Connecting Beall Development via Willow Park water and sewer.

Summary: The City and the Beall Development were not contiguous, when the City started the process of working with the Beall Development on it's 317 acre, multi-purpose project, located on the southwest corner of I-20 and FM 1187. The City of Willow Park and the Beall Development were not contiguous, when the City started the process of working with the Beall Development on it's 317 acre, multi-purpose project, located on the southwest corner of I-20 and FM 1187. [1]

"317 acres for Beall Development's commercial entertainment, restaurants, fast food, retail commercial offices, fuel and convenience store, grocer, etc., and 79 single family lots, garden multi-family residences and park."

However, the during the 26 November 2024 Council Meeting, [2] the City started annexing about 11 acres of right-of-way land along East Bankhead Highway, connecting the Beall Development to the City of Willow Park.

"annexation of approximately 7,313 feet of East Bankhead Highway right- of-way, comprising approximately 10.98 acres of land into the territorial limits of the City of Willow Park;

• directing city staff to prepare a service plan for the extension of municipal services to the proposed annexation area

• and setting two Public Hearings on annexation"

In addition, during the 10 December 2024 Council Meeting [3], the City is planning to approve a contractual agreement with the ubiquitous Jacob & Martin for the engineering services for the extension of City water and sewer to the Beall Development.
