City purchases 205 Canyon Court for future Fort Worth Water expansion.
After deliberating in a half dozen Executive Sessions, the Council instructed the City to execute "a real estate contract for the property located at 205 Canyon Ct., Willow Park, TX" [1]
The new tank and lift station for the water the City buys from Fort Worth are located adjacent to the 205 Canyon Ct. 1.28 acre property. [2]
After returning from the 12 March 2024 Council executive session, "the council approved the purchase of a small piece of land, just under a couple acres, at 205 Canyon Ct. The empty lot is adjacent to the water treatment plant and allows for expansion of it should the need arise. 'The idea is if we ever need to expand those facilities, it is an ideal location.' Grimes said." [3]
There has been no indication as to the purpose of the land, outside future use.
