8. Discussion/Action: To consider and take action on a Motion to Ratify a Tax Rate as reflected in the Municipal Budget, which exceeds the calculated Effective Tax Rate

Discussion/Action: To consider and take action on Ordinance No.735-16, an Ordinance adopting an Ad Valorem Tax Rate and Levy on assessed property not to exceed $0.5367 per $100 valuation for the Fiscal 2016-2017 Tax Year for the City of Willow Park, Texas including a Levy for Debt obligations ($0.2384) and a levy for Maintenance andOperations ($0.2983) consistent with the Fiscal Year 2016- 2017 Municipal Budget.
*** Councilmember Runnebaum made a motion that the property tax rate be increased by the adoption of a tax rate of.5367, which is effectively a 16.5 percent increase in the tax rate.
*** Councilmember Martin made a motion to approve Ordinance 735-16.
10. Discussion/Action: To consider and act on Resolution 15-16, a Resolution authorizing and adopting a municipal Tax Increment Financing Policy to publicly finance, in part, needed structural improvements and enhanced infrastructure within a designated contiguous area. #TIRZandWilksDev
