Why Vote
There is a property tax issue on the 06 May election ballot. The Aledo ISD Bond will affect your property taxes and your AISD student's education. Willow Park Civics Blog > Willow Park will have a May 2023 election ballot, with a decision that will effect property taxes.
Although the city election has been canceled with just the incumbents in the Willow Park council race filing for their positions (Willow Park Civics Blog > Willow Park election cancelled -- again.), Willow Park citizens have a vote in the 06 May election.
Willow Park citizens have more than just a property tax interest in this election, we have a civics responsibility to our families and to our neighbors. We make time to participate in the Roman-circus of sports; make at least that much effort to participate in voting that will affect a much larger part of your life.

Special Election: Aledo ISD – Bond Vote For or Against
Proposition A: The issuance of $123,800,000 of bonds by the Aledo Independent School District for the construction, renovation, acquisition and equipment of school facilities in the District (including, but not limited to, improvements to enhance safety and security), including the acquisition of land therefor and the acquisition of new school buses, and levying the tax in payment thereof. This is a property tax increase.
