The mission of Willow Park Civics is to provide our Willow Park neighbors with the tools to make Willow Park a more informed and responsible voting citizenry.  Civics is defined as “The branch of political science that deals with civic affairs and the rights and duties of citizens.” 

 

Most of the content at Willow Park Civics is gathered and shared from other sources. We rarely editorialize and when we do we identify our comments.

 

We try to cover fully. We read from The Texan to The Texas Tribune; we read local papers, local papers from west Texas, and local papers from Austin and Houston. Before publishing a blog, we search for all publications that are providing information on the same issue, and try to include factual excerpts that represent all “sides.” 

 

If you have additional sources you would like us to consider, let us know. If you have a topical article you would like considered, please let us know. We are open to all civil suggestions.

Willow Park Civics is hosted on Facebook by What's Happening, Willow Park. The mission of What’s Happening, Willow Park is to share information about, well —  happenings happening in our city and it’s surrounds, all things that have an effect on Willow Park citizens from local to the world.  If you know of a happening, let WPWP help you share. If you wonder about a happening, let WPWP know, and they will help you investigate. 

 

Questions and polite comments are more than welcomed.

 

However WHWP and WPC are NOT places for political debates or policy fight clubs or editorial opinions or even lengthly social conversations.
